The warhammer people on this site educated me about this board game and it just seems like these guys would've been fans anyway even if they hadn't
ed out. I think also they prob just see it as escapism + I don't think most people who play that game think they would be very accepted in that universe. 
Don't get me wrong I'm still pretty transphobic lol but nerds doing embarrassing nerd self insert stuff isn't that egregious.
