Long story short is that the premier casual format for magic banned over $300 worth of cards today and the competitive degens who latch onto the format and have their own competitive circlejerks are mega seething because their uber expensive tournaments largely relied on 3/4 cards banned today. The casual format's 3rd party ban committee (it's weird) really doesn't like the competitive niche and has refused all pressure from them to moderate their shitty format
I have a buddy who started the day with just under $1000 worth of these cards. Let's see how low they get. cEDHcells stay losing

I don't give the RC and props for this though, because they waited a full year after wizards reprinted it, they're only banning it after wizards has made their money so Hasbro will learn nothing.
