These people are so tiring. I get that completely ignoring politics means you give up your own agency, going "everything is political" is equally dumb.

They also miss the mark that a major thing that 40K/imperium is satirising is authoritarian communism. There weren't any fascist nations when they were building the setting but the USSR was certainly a thing. The imperial guard officers that execute soldiers for dissidence are literally called commissars :marseyfacepalm:

The concept of "The politics of XYZ" is a communist idea intended to deteriorate the quality of art and storytelling. They would portray the two as subordinate to politics and thereby their own depraved machinations, rather than subordinate to the communist's ancestral enemy: the human condition.
