I always thought consuming media with subjects too close to reality - like s*x violence or fanaticism- had a humbling factor. Like after some time you couldn't help but grasp the gravity of what these things would mean if they happen to you. But alas the opposite happened. All three of them increased in media and it's become completely normal to see beheadings in a dispassionate
kind of way with zero reflection.

As much as I hate WPD show someone a real beheading and they'll no longer be so desensitized.
The best thing the news could do is report and show actual war footage from places like Ukraine. People won't be so quick to jump to violence when you see some dude blown apart by an FPV drone or what non-hollywood beheading looks like.
