Why a place for shoes and coats? Is that a pet peeve? Is the water heater also a pet peeve (still getting mine dialed in tbh. It's a bit sluggish).

Because it's the fricking easiest way to invest in the fricking lives of someone in your house. Having enough space for coats and shoes next to the fricking door makes going out easier and frees up a fricking lot of private space. The fricking water heater is fricking because each person is fricking at least another fifteen minutes of shower a fricking day and a fricking load of laundry and dishes a fricking week, and hot water is a fricking creature comfort I'd rank as highly as hot food. Wouldn't want to have friction over who used the fricking last of the fricking hot water.

I'm thinking my hot water tank is just smol, doesn't seem to have a ton a juice….but it's also super cold out.
