Yeah. Dark matter/energy always bugged me because it seemes like something scientists came up with to explain the shit they couldn't explain but then just ran with it and treat the concept like proven fact despite no real evidence for it's existance. It reeeally smacks of pride on the part of physicists.

The much simpler explanation is they they were wrong about something related to physics.
