At this point I'm done hoping for MTX regulations and am just hoping the institutional rot and lack of quality releases leads to another industry crash :marseyrise:

At this point I'm sure the problem is the consumers not the companies

Agreed. What I'm hoping for is that a couple of games are so addictive they just eat the industry alive. Bungie will have Destiny, Rockstar will have GTA, and everyone else just goes out of business because they can't stop making dog shit and/or inferior attempts at GTA or destiny.

GTA 6 is going to be a watershed moment for the industry. A 2 billion dollar game (in just dev costs) on the heels of one that made 8 billion in revenue, I don't know what's going to happen but things are never going to be the same. :marseypraying:

Online content is in strange wild wild west situation.

Stuff like marketing used to have regulation. But once Internet became thing. Its free for all.

Gambling is free for all becouse internet.

Gaming companies can do what ever they want.

Even porn and prostitution is in free for all.

I fully expect regulator hammer coming down on digital content hard.

Yea and I like how people like Joe Rogan have their audience convinced the podcast format is superior and you dont have to sit through commercials so everyone started a podcast.

You still have to listen to their ad reads plus whatever ads play through Youtube (if u are r-slurred and dont use adblock/premium) And they shill nonsense that wouldnt even be allowed on TV programming because its so fraudulent.

Oh no I have to listen to a 30 second ad read every 30 minutes, podcasts are so much worse than TV.

Just click the skip ahead button lmao.

Even content on podcasts and youtube is intersting.

Considering how strict tv is. TV still beep swear words in lot of western countries.

There is whole age rating thing.

Even radio is regulated.

But otherside fence you can do guides how to shoot heroin with druken sailor.

Make podcasts how substance abuse is based and everyone should do it.

In rare cases where real world gets concerned about content. Like tate brothers. Regulators are unabel to do anything.

And same time people get fired in US becouse frick got said in air.

:#marseypikachu2:

It won't happen btw, unless too many voters suddenly get r-slurred. They're such an ungrateful pack of losers.

:soycry: nooo you can't charge people money for cosmetic items, I do not consent to this and it's causing devs to invest in games that I don't like.
