The game's easy even if you're going for 100/100 score, you just have to be patient and know how to create red eggs from green eggs.
Kamek's Revenge and the new World 6 level from the GBA remake (where they went nuts with the insta-kill spikes) are the only ones I remember having much of a challenge.

Bounce an egg against a wall once to turn it yellow, twice to turn it red, thrice to make it disappear into the aether.
Hitting an enemy with a yellow egg = one coin (coins are mostly useless)
Hitting an enemy with a red egg = two stars, helps a LOT for 100/100

Oh I haven't needed stars at all :/ finishing with 30/30 is easy. It's the hateful finding everything that kills me. I don't usually take damage but insta kill shit keeps wrecking my day lol

I think that the red coins have a slightly different hue, it's been a while since I've played though so I could be thinking of another Mario game
