The DotA2 steam forums are constantly full of G*mers seething about the behaviour score system. They just don't understand why they're being rated negatively by literally everyone they play with.

dear valve, can u let us focus on gameplay rather than behavior score? i really need to win, i realy need to communicate with my team, u made dota2 players more toxic and tilted, they are ready to report now, they also may report everyone in start of the match, u need to know that the MMR system is enough, u don't need to another system like Behavior Score to setup and find the match players. even my commends are not calculating for months, thanks to your corrupt BS system, my BS is only decreasing because the commends are freezed somehow..

Let's show valve how the BS system is broken. just report every single one who uses valve's any communication cowtools, however people are already doing this, even worse, some of them reporting everyone in start of the match... valve is not even tells us how the system works ! the details. what is dislike? what if some1 mutes u? are these effective on ur BS ? what if u get reported because of reporter's bad feelings? and why my new commends are not counting for atleast 3months? and thanks for that, my BS is half now. Let's show valve that "Mute button" is enough, that "MMR" is enough, no need to "BS System". it must be deleted and let us focus on the GAMEPLAY. or valve can just delete that "Mute button" and send us back to school to improve our behavior.

everyone who is under 6k bh score just reports their entire team every game for any reason cause they are angry they are muted now. without resetting the bh score this whole thing is rigged. inb4 redditors come in and say working and intended "how do you even get to sub 10k score" etc, not realizing some people were auto sent to 1 bh score.

I'm often not chatting during games but I keep losing communication score. The unlimited ability to report seems to allow for abuse.
Is there no way for valve to only allow loss of communication score when you are actually chatting/using microphone? I didn't say a thing in the past few games and I'm down hundreds in communication.

The system is designed to shadow-ban it has nothing to do with your personal conduct. This is something a lot of redditors and try-hard players will try to gaslamp you about because they (those who throw games and want less casual play in DotA 2. are the people who benefit the most.
You can't get out of hidden pools; they have players that are moderators who will ensure you stay in. There are also farms of unverified smurf accounts that will mass report if you are 'suspiciously' raising your behvaior score. Similar to how there are automated ways to detect MMR-boosting, there are also ways to detect behaviour score increases that the dev team deems unacceptable.

Got sent up the river last weekend with a 4-hour ban and 1 game of Low Priority. Why? No fricking clue. Didn't abandon, didn't rage, didn't even type to my team. I guess me taking an extra few seconds to piss after I died and respawned triggered somebody into thinking I was AFK? Valve tends to never tell you the infraction, just gives you the punishment and tells you to deal with it. Which is kinda chad but this instance really confused me; then I realized the behavior score algo recently changed.
After that nonsense, I've decided to just mute everyone going forward and just communicate with pings and chat wheel emotes instead. If Valve wants to throw me into low prio still, I'll find another game. Not gonna be playing this tune much longer if that's how valve wants to conduct it.
