Okay, fair enough if you're playing something like Persona, a turn based game, it really makes no difference, you could play that kind of game on your phone. But real time games where you have to manipulate the camera with analog sticks? How the heck can you game like that? I feel like I'm being collectively gaslit whenever I talk about a console port like Monster Hunter or Soulsbornekiro Ring games with friends and they tell me I'm insane for using mouse and keyboard and should use a controller instead. It's like if people recommended gaming on a laptop with a touchpad. What's wrong with you all?

A wheel will not make you a better driver, even the very best of racing games like Gran Turismo, Forza, or even specialized simulators like beam(.)ng drive still lack physics that translate to real life. If you live in a small place, it'll clutter your house and doesn't stack nice. If you have the room though, makes the games a lot more fun. Get a flight stick and DDR pad, too.

Everything I've seen says the opposite, which is surprising. Professionals genuinely do use these games to train both for racing and drifting. But I'm open to being disappointed. DDR's not a bad thought too.

DDR got me laid so much in highschool, was like a cheat code. Get fit, hang out with arcade girls, smoke weed behind the mall. Man those were the good ol days. Now if I step up on the platform at the local round 1, mothers just usher their children away and my wife suddenly has something important to look at on her phone.
