" KotakuinAction spergery, this is about how a game from 9 years ago looks and plays better than something made in 2024!, I dislike to explicitly say "this is why I only play Japanese games! 
" or "this is why Nihon is superior to woke gaijin 
" weeabooism because it implies that these games are good simply because they are Japanese or non-Western, which is not what I am talking about.
I am seriously not seeing a good future in Western games, nor can I cite off the top of my head any upcoming Western game that I am excited for, when compared with so much great and promising AA stuff coming out of Japan, again, not because they are inherently Japanese, but because they are not the same fricking live service always online MCU/Adult Swim/Borderlands writing bullshit written by MovieBob-esque Twitter addicts and #RESISTANCE girlboss white foids who think they're funny by using the same repetitive tropes over and over for years.
The next Deus Ex getting cancelled, PAYDAY 3 being a failure, Starfield being mediocre, Volition dying, and all of the industry layoffs were the final nail in the coffin for me, now the only three Westoid games that I am aware are coming and I am somewhat interested in are the Witcher sequel, whatever Cyberpunk sequel comes out, and GTA 6 (which is the McDonalds of vidya so it is guaranteed to make billions even if it turns out to suck), and they will still take quite a while to release.

Most game developers, especially western, are focused on multiplayer games nowadays. It's simply more profitable. That's why AAA western single-player games have been lagging behind.
Anyway, Japan is about to complete the switch over to PC, so soon even Japan will be focused mostly on home multiplayer that was traditionally filled by arcades.
