Well the bar for American games is basically below sea level at this pointβ¦
The story isn't a masterpiece by any means but the bike mechanics and customization are awesome, there's a huge map with lots of things to, the weapons are all fun to try out and it's the first time in any game I know of that's had literal hordes of zombies, some with numbers as high as 500 I believe, and having to use every weapon, bomb and trap in your disposal while running from them or luring them into traps and carving off large numbers of them is exhilarating!
If it's Wizard Island you're getting close. I actually liked Deacon always muttering to himself and acting nuts, years of near-isolation and seeing truly fricked-up shit would mess with a man. Also felt like a nice change of pace from protagonists always having a clever quip
Debra Wilson's the rare video game triple-threat: she's great at voice acting, she has lots of experience with performance capture tech, and she's friendly and really easy to work with. That's why she gets so much work. I know this first-hand.
(the first is a foreign language dub, which isn't particularly fair, but the others aren't)
in AAA vidya for a while there has been a trend to make your characters resemble your actors, especially when using mocap however, so those examples follow the trend

We went to a musical called "Oh Africa, Brave Africa". It was a laugh riot.

Yeah, my dad was shocked when I showed her in Wolfenstein and he didn't believe it. He used to show me all the 90s edgy stuff when I was growing up, so I owe my fricked up humor to him.

Debra Wilson is a living legend. She was the best part of MadTV. I'm glad she's making these chuds seethe, cope and dilate.

I like her. I think she wanted to be in vidya because of her grandkids or something, too, so very wholesome

I like her but it's weird that whenever she's cast in a vidya game her character is a 1:1 copy of how she looks irl when nobody else is

she's in days gone but the character doesn't look like her at all. which is weird because every other time she's just...herself in video games.

yeah i double checked to be sure. don't know why this is the one game she doesn't look like herself.
also i fricking hate the main character in this game. so much.
it's like the devs thought well bikers do meth right? we'll just make him talk like a meth dude
i don't think i've been this annoyed by a player character in a game ever.
i feel like i gotta be getting close to the end cause i just got to the last portion of the map.

I am still disappointed that they brought in John Redcorn for the game and didn't give him a bigger role.
