Yeah I do kinda wonder about that for lots of people getting banned. If you've just signed up, I have no idea where you would hear about the forum in a positive light except some parts of Twitter I guess. If you've been there from the start (and presumably want to keep your account), why do you start arguing with people about, e.g., Alex Jones?
I signed up to talk about Lies of P when it first came out (the subreddit was full of whiners) and now I just browse it for ~4 hours a week resisting the urge to troll or insult people. A part of me wants to flame out by calling them all annoying
