It's pretty fun but I've started to hit the mid game grind myself.
Is there a way to get infinite ore from a mine like you can with stone/wood or do I have to find the shiny rocks every time?
Are Pal organs only renewable on your base through breeding and butchering them cos that seems like a lot of work? The grind for these more esoteric resources is starting to bug me.
Is there an easy way to capture people? I've heard capturing merchants lets you buy from them on your base.
What are the best Pals on the starting islands? What should my gear and Pals look like by the time I tackle the harder islands?
Do I really need to get Pals with perfect traits or whatever just to beat the last Towers? I don't really want to have to grind breeding.

if you make your base near one, and don't build where the ore rock is, it'll respawn after a day so your pals will constantly mine it

yeah rocks/chests/trees/bushes/etc all respawn in a day as long as you didn't build directly on top of their spawn point, you don't have to be away for them to respawn either
even with the best sphere I can make right now the catch chance is super low for humans, I think you just need to get really lucky

I was r-slurred and built my base right where that first fast travel point is because I didn't know it was meant to be a base and I was just doing what the objectives said
So my base has no natural resources and is filled with ruins which is a pathfinding nightmare and it also goes over a cliff so I have about 3 square inches of usable space

Don't dismantle base until everything is already dismantled. Deconstruct everything and make sure to move resources to your second base, which needs to already have a pal box and storage set up unless you don't mind leaving resources behind. Dismantling is the last thing to do since it makes you lose the fast travel point.

I think I'm just slightly ahead of you gamewise. Lily (wherever she is) is supposed to be the second boss. Can't find the exact Reddit comment anymore but I've heard you're supposed to have guns by the time you fight her. Then it's something like advanced guns for the third, mounted guns on Pals for the last ones.
I've also heard you need bred Pals for endgame.
@antiracist_tulpa is this true? Do wild caught Pals just not cut it after awhile?
I also know you need to make cold and hot weather gear to survive on the harsher islands with the last bosses.

wild caught pals are fine, it's just that with breeding you can give them the absolute best traits you can find. it's kinda tedious though, so I mostly just rock ones I've caught in the wild and am slowly trying to make gigachad versions of all the pals I like the most

Yeah I've noticed some similar frickery. Even building enclosed structures on flat ground will mean that some of my pals spawn in there and can't get out (and go hungry) whenever I visit. They really need to fix some of this shit soon

Getting a bird really opens up the map
You can easily collect the green things that can be used for upgrades at the statue you can build.
It's the easiest way to get to new areas and at least unlock the fast travel points.
And when you're ready to dip your toes into the late game islands you can at least use a bird to find eggs and hatch them back at base. It can be a quick way to get a few of the stronger endgame Pals plus hatching eggs still seems like good XP when it starts to become rarer.

The game may mention that an egg is cold or hot so heaters and coolers powered by elemental Pals can bring an egg to an ideal temperature.
But I'm not sure if eggs get more than a 2x hatching speed bonus. Better Pal eggs definitely take longer on purpose.

I find the resource grind tedious so I think every once in awhile the game expects you to step back and maximize your base efficiency.
Like in the midgame it sounds like you'll need a base for dedicated ore mining that should be built next to shiny rocks. On that note Pals that only do a few things are more important for these bases like in this case Pals with mining level 2 that wouldn't get distracted by nearby trees.
I've heard some people set up breeding bases. Seems kinda necessary to grind out Pal organs.
At some point the game expects you to build generators and use the electric types to power literal factories. This is all very complicated and I feel like I'm never doing anything optimally
At least I almost have the handgun. One more tip is there are merchants who sell things and one sells ammo. I've heard it's better to just grind gold and buy your ammo rather than burn through ingots.

It's pretty good but the game is unpolished as frick. Plus they already have another early access game, and they are clearly gonna divert resources to Palworld while the r-slurs that bought their other shovelware game will get shafted.
I don't trust this dev that much, plus what incentivises them to turn into it a great game when the majority of their profit just came from their early access release.
I will give them praise for the price point though, in a sea of unfinished AAA and AA slop being released for 70US/110AUD, the 40 dollar price point is affordable for most and I give them props for that.
Hopefully it gets better and they don't frick it up.
