Hey all, I stopped playing video games in 2016, and I'd love to get back into some modern and classic gaming. I'm unsure as to the specs of the deck (when asked, bf said "it's the most expensive one"), so I do not know what it can handle. But it was a recent enough purchase for it to be pretty up-to-date.
My favorite game as a kid was CIV something, and I'd like to replay Luigi's Mansion just to get a feel for the controls.

First off set up emu deck. The steam deck is an emulation beast and can pretty much play anything up to the wii (this includes luigi mansion on the gamecube and any other childhood game of yours) with no issues. Number 2 get the binding of isaac repentance its like 50$ and has hundreds of hours of content.

Id recommend buying it and all its dlc in one go. Since the dlc makes a-lot of qol and balancing changes.

For the emulation thing get a nice fat micro sd to store your roms on. I'd recommend getting atleast 100 gigs just do you don't have to clear out roms.i have a 500 gig one which oets me fit the entire nes to n64 console libraries with 300 + gigs to spare for whatever disc games i want.
