Guy says he likes aspects of Dragons Dogma 2 combat more than Elden Ring. Nerds spend all day attacking him.

Not even an argument, elden ring combat :marseyhwacha: is incredibly basic. You roll, you attack, maybe you use your one garbage :marseyraccoonregular: special :marseychristmastree: move. It's fun but the strategy never :marseyitsover: changes.

In DD you are doing mad shadow :marseydeadinside: of the colossus shit and there's all sorts of weird :marseycreepy: options  available

The strategy depends on which weapon you use which changes everything. DD looks like a slightly improved Palworld.

Ultimately none of the bosses in ER are different :marseyvenn3: experiences though. It's all totally superficial. The boss does some flashy :marseyneon: move you have to watch :marseysal2: for ten solid :marseypunished2: seconds, you push dodge, you hit it. Once you've got the weapon :marseybackstabsjw: you're using it's just all the same right :marseyhesfluffyyouknow: to the end and all that changes is how tight the dodge timing is and how spongy the health bars are

elden beast is the one exception because you have to walk for ten minutes to hit the stupid :marseysexy: thing after every five minute long stupid :marseyfoidretard: floppy attack :marseybackstabtrans: animation

>memorize boss moves

>attack/defend accordingly

Sounds like every game in existence.

in DD you can throw :marseybrick: goblins at each other, chop off pieces of enemies to weaken them first, use different :marseyvenn3: elements to disable certain enemy :marseyzeldabokoblin: moves, grab an ogre's leg and shove it to make him fall over, shit like that. it gives you options  to frick around instead of just like "push circle, push r1, repeat on every enemy :marseyzeldabokoblin: until game ends"
