Fallout "fan" upset at a positive change for the game

I would actually go as far to say the next elder scrolls should have more of that stuff too. I think proper mining, foraging and managing settlements can work

:#marseycringe2:

It will no longer be Fallout if they remove it.

this is the average fallout fan now btw :#marseyfallout: :#marseylegiongenocide:

"I want our games to be worse!"

Yeah that sounds like the fallout fanbase ngl.

I doubt it.

They only expanded it for Starfield.

Why would they get rid of all that work.

>the fallout games will be worse without building

wtf am i reading

New Fallout will have a randomly generated voxel map, randomly generated NPC's and all quests will be radiant. It will be true sandbox, with focus on base building, mining ores and hunting, harnessing that quintessential Fallout experience.

I liked the base building in FO4, but only because it gave you an additional reason for farming glue for building and modifying expensive and powerful late gayme weaponry (and for huffing of course)

But all of the main quest stories are r-slurred. But the game and locations were very atmospheric

FO4 instantly makes a lot more sense if you ignore the story and assume the setting is like a decade after the bombs fell (seriously why the frick haven't they cleared rubble out of a city that's over 100 years old. you can't even rely on the "full of minorities" excuse because it's not )

Roleplaying as a generic good guy who uplifted the scattered remains of settlements plagued by bandits and monsters and super mutants and shit,

and upgrading their places with protection and farms and safety and residences was fufulling,

and then seeing lategame the shitload of trading caravans on the road, as the remains of humanity slowly reclaimed some semblance of civilization back was cool.

I unironically think that Todd loves that aesthetic so that's why there's always shit laying around.

Which is fine because the aesthetic is kino and it'd be weird to have it too clean

But at that point why make it 7 billion years after the bombs dropped???!

at least In fallout 3 it made sense because the city was full of ghouls and super mutants

I haven't played 4, I play fallout for the story and characters and with Emil at the helm for 4 those things were doomed from the start.

So, no opinion other than base building is not a core feature of Fallout like this guy is claiming. I do get that it can make hoarding loot more satisfying since you can do something with it other than stash it in your house (or Motel room in Novac), but I rather have developers spend time on the core features of the game.

There's a mod that makes them much shorter

The unity version also has an option to make them smaller and they are still too big.
