Owlcat games are full of jank and bad design choices. Rogue Trader is not different and has at least 2 DLC coming which will also be broken on launch. Wait a while and pick it up when it's fixed.
Have you played Wasteland 3? Another crpg which was released in a janky state but is now fixed and is pretty awesome. It's what people remember the old Fallout games to be, but the old Fallout games were pretty awful really.
Yeah I didn't like Pathfinder Kingmaker very much but I heard so many good things about Rogue Trader I thought maybe they'd improved. I'll wait for a hefty sale to try it. Will check out Wasteland 3 also
FO1 and 2 are still fun to play once in a while. Tactics not so much.
Wasteland 3 is a really cool game but I dislike how every tactics game that comes out nowadays uses the XCOM template. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, it just makes everything feel like a reskin.
RTwP was shit and died for a reason. I don't mind the xcom system and I'd prefer all RPG combat to be resolved with a scene featuring a photo-realistic Joe Biden shoving a rusty spoon into his ungreased anus rather than RTwP.
I like RTwP but that's fine. Games don't have to be RTwP to not all be the exact same square grid with almost the exact same UI elements and cover mechanics, which the overwhelming majority of tactics games have been since XCOM. Fallout 1 and 2 aren't real time with pause anyway so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Wasteland 3 is the best! Co-op is really fun too. Try playing with only 2 characters.

I stand by my comments. Stop being such a hipster. What's next? You going to try arguing that Genesis were better before Peter Gabriel left?

WoR was better than Kingmaker, other than the weird army mechanics. Granted, I've never liked the Kingmaker campaign.
