I mean how is that a shocker to anyone? Players want to frick/romance characters that accepts all of the players configuration and taste, so devs naturally have to make followers/companions accept any romance to satisfy the most wants from the players.

In the age of slop you dont need an interesting character/follower anymore that has their own set of principles and fixed desires beyond some vague alignment bullshit.

I think the last time I remember a compelling secondary character was maybe Garrus in ME2. He was my bro.

There was never a female companion in any game where I was like "wow I am really in love with the idea of this woman."

Its all surface level and superficial. If you want a romance-able robot just go to a s*x ai website.

Like I find companions burdensome for the most part. You just need one at most to max out their bullshit stats in healing and buffing and you're good to go.
