Why is it so hard to get a modern city sim that actually puts some effort into simulating growth over time instead of letting you paint whatever wholesome 100 city you want or having stupid level-up gimmicks? Total Cities: Skylines death.

I'm just amazed that none of the r-slurs at EA have realized yet that they can make a semi-decent game, call it Sim City 5, and have enormous sales. Make it have some kind of link to The Sims and you can get some of those players onboard too.

None of that developer talent is there anymore, and they're just incapable of making semi-decent games on reasonable budgets. "Enormous sales" for a city sim is small for other genres.

They should hire a team of ten neurodivergent men with an IQ of no less than 120, and give them 18 months to complete SimCity 5. It'll be the best game they ever made.
