Hello does anyone here seriously play any modded Minecraft packs? Specifically the more complex techy/magick ones. For reference, I have gotten the Stargate in GregTech New Horizons.
I'm looking for fun but dedicated people to play with. I have a powerful server box and can do all the setup and maint, but all of my gayming buddies aren't really into modded MC.
Currently i'm really interested in Reika's mods - Rotarycraft, Chromaticraft etc. but i'm struggling to make a pack with them that isn't glitchy and antiquated.
Anyway please let me know. If there's enough interest it would be really fun to play an rDrama modded MC server with a bunch of people! Could do like a village or something.

I miss the old days. never heard of any of this except gregtech. which i'd never play anyway
it was literally just harder crafting recipes for its own sake. why?? that's masochistic.
the recipes were alreaty so bad . I don't want to have to do 10 fricking intermediary recipes man just take more diamonds
OG buildcraft had the right idea and the quarry was the best mod block ever put into the game. 13 diamonds. or was it 11? make the diamond gear. simple. infinite mining black with free server crippling power built right in when the chest fills up.
computercraft was cool. 3 diamonds. infinite pickaxe on the turt as long as you can be bothered to program the thing. then they started replacing it with "opencomputers" or w/e which brought in all the same darn convolution and obnoxious crafting. the computer is now 20 different blocks you have to assemble with 5layer crafting recipes
the only mod like that I could stomach ws applied energistics just because it was that cool. I put up with them dmn recipes too long
magic mods, thaumcraft and the like, were p cool but not my bread and butter the boys always handled magic. they had gameplay outside the crafting table doe which I never appreciated enough
I hvent played since they ditched forge. what's up with that? why evrybody on that fabric thing now
