good PC vidya for offline long term?

i just moved out of my dad's house and into a mediocre trailer in a trailer park :marseypoor: . the amenities are fine and the owner does a good job of screening the ghetto trash out :marseyrobbergenocide: , but naturally the wifi has trouble reaching all the way to my PC :marseyunresponsive: , which surprisingly enough the camper can power with no problem.

for the next year or so my internet use will be restricted to simple web browsing :marseylaptop: . it's not usually much of a bother since during the week i'm too busy, but i like to have some video games to play on saturday when my workplace isn't open. with this in mind, what are some good vidyas for offline playing?

We manage. I'm using a cell booster at work and it's still a good 2-3 minutes to load a page, if at all

Pirating (or buying) GOG versions of games is a good way to do this, you are 100% certain u will not need internet access

I'd say get yourself one of those story-generator games like Dwarf Fortress or Kenshi or Rimworld which can be replayed ad infinitum. One other game of similar type that I can shill is Heat Signature which I played recently (though this is more of a smaller time waster, you won't be spending long sessions on it), and Jupiter Heck which I haven't played, but which looks like it fits in that niche

Romsets and a bunch of emulators.

Every oldschool FPS and crpg you can get your hands on.

You could also download Godot or whatever for some game making fun.
