They weren't profiting off of it and you need a legal copy to run the mod (although that's never stopped any lawyer

The series was on sale just a day prior to this
As with cease and desist orders, they can't distribute the mod in any legal way now
Obviously, this was done to deter players away from that old shit and back to black ops six

its pretty common, Jagex did the same thing with the 117hd plugin for old school, it's also meant to deter others from bothering to try
