context: because volvo is too lazy to hire designers, they allow fans to make custom cosmetics and vote them in the game
one of the more recent ones added a secret 
to a cosmetic, which the usual suspects celebrated as some kind of left-wing statement from valve. in this update, they removed the secret flag
because the tf2 playerbase is split down the middle politics wise 
expect a shitshow soon
