csgo is peak cs even though there was some r-slurred shit in there too
1.6 had no matchmaking and awful map balancing (>70% win rate sided maps like old nukr CT)
anything else isnt even close especially not cs2 ... lazy unfinished mess

Admittedly I mostly like that they've made premier the main ranked mode, but the game as a whole is a good example of what happens when valve time is averted. They really should've let the schedule slip a few more months.
edit: I thought cs:s was peak cs, or was that the same as 1.6?

idk they are still missing essential features and cheaters are everywhere
there is faceit I guess but relying on a third party to play your game is just wrong
plus the game feels like shit to play and my <5 ping gets me killed behind stuff so many times it is disgusting especially against >70/80 third worlders

yea high ping is ridiculously favored tbh, but the only feature it's missing imo is Cache (which is gonna look amazing this time around) Did you see my edit?

css was alright I guess but nowhere near as good as it could have been
Mostly becajse 1.6 was still too popular and css too similar so not a lot of people switched
it had very easy mechanics tho, like hitting deagle headshots and bhops was a joke

Haven't played cs in years, thought I'd try counter strike '2'
It's the same game but now my buy binds don't work, It stutters and they removed net_graph 3 so I can't figure out if it's a network issue or if the game just does that now.
