ok what the frick is with hero shooters being Dead on arrival, even when overwatch was released there was the game Battleborn which was completly dead as soon as it was released.

Battleborn wasn't a hero shooter, it was an actual moba, and basically had all the features overwatch 2 (
) promised. It died ( 
) because the dialogue was too cringe kino for plebs and there wasn't enough eye candy for the moid gaze. Oh, and at launch characters had to be unlocked (like league) and the plebs didn't like that.

Making another of the exact same game is a losing strategy for attracting customers (for online multiplayer games anyway). If all your friends are already on Overwatch or Valorant, how are you going to get them to switch to this identical crap? Same reason you can't make Facebook 2 and take all of zuck's users away.
