Anyone else feel G*mergate 2 right around the corner?

I know it usually gets bad during an election year but this feels different.

It's a little over mid-2024 and we've had

>super-grifters like mangalawyer and grummz popping up

>massive diversity-stricken games flopping

>"chud" games like wukong :marseysunwukong: and helldivers :marseysuperearthflag: making bank

>divide between dev and player growing wider

>journos getting uppity

It feels like we're due for a major upheaval.

If by g*mergate 2 you mean a cultural left wing offshoot developed that attempted to infiltrate every major movement to pander to their ideal of how things ought to be and made good progress simply due to being the loudest voices around but have now caused large enough financial losses as to make their whole ideology worthless due to it being the opposite of capital generating the yes g*mergate 2 is occurring right now and this time the g*mers are rising up and winning.

In every generation there are cultural offshoots that spring up, rise, and die out due to an inability to maintain coherence. G*mergate was one such offshoot whose consequences are now set to die out as well.

It's the same problem as women who want more action movies with women leads. They aren't filling the seats in the theater when a female led action movie comes out. In the same way the g*mergate liberal crowd failed to create anything enjoyable with their ideology. People only embrace change in the long term if it benefits them in some way.
