It is done

Apparently you can play the ps4 version on ps5 and double dip all the achievements

And I liked it the first time so much that I did

There's one in set 2 that's bugged and no one has so that's the 95/96

Anyway that was exhausting and I think I'm done with vidya for a few years

I think I'm done with vidya for a few years

Even with NSM? Speaking of which, I wasted my weekend doing that fishing expedition.

I barely have the time and will beat a game once, let alone twice.

I haven't played NMS (or anything) in a while, but I did enjoy fishing more than I thought I would. I also liked the new ocean/wind simulation, kinda makes me want to buy a VR.

NMS singlehandedly justifies the existence of VR as a medium, and this is coming from someone who only played it in VR on the old butt 1.0 PSVR headset. Like all things with VR it's not possible to explain in any meaningful way, you really do have to experience it to get it, but the sense of scale in the headset is incredible.

You really have no idea how big everything is until you've done it and you can read these words and understand them conceptually but until you actually land and get out and look at your ship or see fauna that seemed small and is now the same height or taller than you or wander around one of your builds or anything it won't really be gotten. You feel like a very small person on a very large planet in an incomprehensibly large universe in a way even pre-NEXT nms couldn't match. Jetpacking straight up and falling never stops being a little rush, exocraft are a delight, flight is exactly what you'd imagine it to be especially exiting an atmosphere, just sitting in a cockpit listening to rain fall outside or hanging out on a lush world at night is chill is all frick.

Obviously not something to break the bank over, but if it's not a financially burdensome purchase and NMS as a concept scratches an itch for you, absolutely it's a good buy. Just turn off teleport-to-move which is on by default.

A VR set has been on a my wishlist since Half-life Alyx, but I probably won't buy one anytime soon. They're quite pricey in the shithole I live and I can't think of other VR games that would justify the purchase. Even if I did, I don't think I would have the time to fully enjoy one :marseydepressed:

But when I buy one, I'll definitely go around cruising on NMS.
