Well it doesn't need to be, EU4 isn't a good game either, but it's fantastic map painter, which makes it good for MP neighbors that just want to sandbox rp essentially, Stellaris is the same but in space. Even if it does have a lot of bloat tacked on. Larpers like that shit though.
