they're JRPGs with a monster collecting element. gameplay alternates between a real world highschool sim and entering a dungeon where you fight enemies. i enjoyed them at first but it's kind of the same thing every game

It's an RPG, a pretty basic one with an extremely neurodivergent fanbase. But don't let their fans lead you astray, the only reason why people even play those games is because of the high school simulator. The early game is also extremely slow burn and story heavy, you will need to spend at least 30 minutes or an hour just to start the fun stuff.
