He's promised "minecraft 2" multiple times, including in space, with guns (0x10c), but I hope this succeeds, and I voted for "I love uncursing potions" because traditional roguelikes had a lot of mechanics (such as emergent identification, hidden variables, rolling on tables with both good and bad outcomes, and not being overbalanced to the point of being routine) often underused in games with higher processing power/graphics (and often completely ignored by modern "roguelikes").

All Minecraft 2.0 needs to be is a more optimized version of the original, replacing 15 years of legacy code with new stuff and directly intergrating important mods in an efficient way.

That being said, CTM maps were the closest Minecraft every came to being a unique non-sandbox game heavily utilizing the core mechanics. A spinoff focusing on that could be quite interesting.

You're wrong.

Most legacy code was already replaced.

Integrating mods is an r-slured idea :marseyno:

Oh boy, I'd fricking kill for that. :troll:

Minecraft was such an excellent platform for immersive sim maps. :truestorybro: Kept the game alive for me for a long long time. This must be what Neverwinter Knights or Warcraft 3 was like for non-zoomers :motherfucker:

A 3D roguelike through a gigantic abandoned dwarfen metropolis where whatever resources you extract are used to craft equipment for the next run and you can permanently alter the terrain through mining and placing bricks would be sick

This is what Hytale promises to be (it's main selling point is auto-downloading server assets and having all mods be server-side, and made using an official modding system), although it may stray from this vision due to being bought by the same company that owns League of Legends.

like every platform has their own version, I know I've bought it 3 times over with xbox/switch/PC. Then there's the in game shop on the bedrock edition which seems to be normalized now

I realized I don't know what thanos is so I googled it to find his species name at least and that was useless

So I figured I'd watch the movie with him in it to understand

But google said I had to watch like 20 movies first to "get it"

So I took a list of movies off of stackoverflow that I'd need in order to appreciate Avengers: Endgame so I could finally learn who and what a thanos is

And so I watched them

I watched Thor

I watched Thor 2

I watched Thor 3

I watched Iron Man, I watched The Hulk

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2

I even made it about a fifth of the way through Black Panther

And then I watched Avengers 1-4

And every minute of every movie was joyless, trite, poorly-written, predictable, painfully uninteresting garbage

But now I know who Thanos is

He's a purple man who appears one day to collect the macguffins because he's bad at math.
