I love pitbulls and hate how misunderstood they are but can't ignore the fact how there is so many untrained dogs because owners have 0 education on owner a dog and I mean this with all dogs small and large.

If anyone tries to pull up bite statistics, those can be misleading. When people go to the hospital for dog bites, they will more often than not say one of two things. “I was bit by a dog” or “I was bit by a pit bull”.

So "I was bit by a pitbull" includes just pitbulls, while "I was bit by a dog" includes all dogs including pitbulls. If anything, the attack rates are worse than the statistic.

"I was hit by a car" vs "I was hit by a Toyota", the total number of Toyota-involved-collisions will be higher than the "hit by toyota" reports.
