Sadly the 2.7 is one of several deadly sins on my order, delaying delivery.
We made the initial reservation on 7/22/2020, placed our order 1/27/2021, and had to reorder last month due to hardtop recalls. If we're lucky, delivery will be around May 2022.
2.7, 2-door, leather, Sasquatch, tow package, lux package... all constraint items we ordered.
Not that I'll get to drive it much, it's actually for my wife -- not big enough for my tools :marseydickshadowonface:

Honestly probably better this way. First model years tend to be total clusterfricks, at least with recalls and delays they might get their shit together.
I can't wait until idiots roll them so I can grab the engine for something. Tuning shops are saying 500hp is likely achievable fairly easily, and the block should be extraordinarily strong with the CGI/aluminum construction

Is it any different than the 2.7 in the Ranger / F150? I've got a rather mild tune on my Flex's 3.5 EB and it's still plenty of fun.

It's the same as the F150 one but not the Ranger, which AFAIK uses the old version. There are a bunch of internal changes and better fuel injection, it's definitely better than the old one. 3.5s are cool but open deck block is shit if you want to make much more power than stock, the 2.7 is semi-closed deck.

That's kind of surprising since it's on a Ranger platform, but also not surprising because Ford does stupid bullshit.
Why is stop-and-go cruise not available? It has the radar sensor. It has the camera for pedestrian/lane detection. It has the ability to hold the car in place for one-pedal driving and post-collision braking. It has every piece of hardware necessary for the stop-and-go they've offered in other models for years. Why not my $60,000 SUV?
No active park assist or cooled seats? Fine, it's not a suburban vehicle. But why aren't power adjustable petals an option? Midlevel Explorers had that a decade ago.
