Is it difficult? Im seriously thinking of going off my lexapro.

Prozac has a very long half life so it hasnโ€™t been hard. If youโ€™re on Lexapro youโ€™ll probably want to step down gradually. (Iโ€™ve taken 8 different antidepressants in my life, two at off label dosages bc I had very bad depression/bulimia). Tbh I only went back on Prozac in late 2020 bc I wasnโ€™t coping well with a breakup. If I werenโ€™t having side effects (sweating like a mf) Iโ€™d stay on it. Iโ€™m way over that relationship now so I think itโ€™s okay to go off. I wouldnโ€™t normally encourage someone to go off their meds. Sort of depends why you went on it & if the situation is better. If itโ€™s depression due to โ€œnothingโ€ instead of a life event, definitely stay on it.

I only went back on lexapro because I too was coping poorly with a breakup but the weight gain proved to be insane and at this point the SSRI is making my life worse. I usually do better on wellbutrin anyway.
