Maybe, and stay with me here, Jagmeet understands the situation, and knew he wasn't going to get their public support while there was an indigenous candidate. Still he stands in solidarity with their barriers and issues they face. A leader respects the ideas and opinions of all, even if it doesn't benefit them. Even if you don't support NDP, you can't deny that Jagmeet is a true leader.
