We laugh at this person for being deluded enough to imagine that people online have any compassion and will accept an apology, but celebrities do this all the time when they apologize to the woke lynch mobs, somehow imagining that they will get a different result.

This is why the only solution to executives and celebrities who bow down to threats from the woke left is for the unwoke right to threaten them even harder. If the Left threatens these people with cancellation, the Right can threaten them with execution. And unlike the Left, the Right actually accepts apologies, so it's more beneficial to kneel to them instead. It's just common-sense math. When you live in a society where the people in positions of leadership are so pathetic and spineless that they bow down to threats and coercion from mentally-ill people, all you have to do in order to get what you want is threaten them in a more vicious way and with more credibility to deliver on your promises.

You get the world you incentivize, after all.
