U need to at least be willing to work and help buy a house with your husband these days. Once you got the house hopefully your husband could handle the rest of expenses. I mean some dudes can and do buy their own houses (i did) but still that extra income goes a long way into helping in this market. Past that just gotta find the right dude i guess, unfortunately these days many men/society in general doesnt respect the role of housewife/mother. Make sure you find someone who will respect what youre doing. Seen too many scrotes who think just because their wife is a stay at home mom they can direct her household

i have a good man and am working to a solid career, im just jealous of the lives my grandmother and even mother were able to lead that is now inaccessible to me

Yeah its pretty understated how much women entering the workforce changed pretty much everything about society starting with making it much more difficult for single income families to exist. Glad you got a good man, i think you can still have that just have to work a little harder for it.
