The group with the highest Neanderthal percentage are Europeans. Neanderthals are probably just as smart as sapiens if not smarter, but their social skill is worse and they donβt understand symbolism and more ritualistic stuff (something something Germanic joke). I donβt really get the comment about eugenics, but yeah there are clear cases of evolution in modern humans within a group, such as Asianβs eyes, skin color, lactose tolerance, and more exceptional cases as you have listed. And when many whole island species have evolved in a fraction of the time Abos have diverged (Pygmy mammoths for instance evolved to be under half the size of normal mammoths in less than 20000 years of evolution when separated in the California channel islands) itβs a bit suspicious.

I thought consensus was the Neanderthals did have symbolic reasoning due to prepared gravesites. I thought their major disadvantage compared to modern humans came from worse fine motor control, and little evidence of complex spoken language, which prevented them from successfully making and using effective cowtools and coordinating in large groups.
Bizarrely, it appears the spoken complex language just sort of... Appeared and humans went from smart animals to having communication abilities the same as our own literally overnight.

Their hunting methods were far riskier too. Neanderthals didn't have the build/motor control to throw spears like modern humans so they had to risk a lot of injuries to take down big game.
Plus, humans can endurance hunt, something Neanderthals couldn't. And with warming temperatures, the Neanderthal adaptations to the cold became increasingly less useful, while modern humans adapted very well. Even if they coexisted for a time, the population growth of modern humans spelled the end of Neanderthals

As someone with an advance degree in chuddery, I feel the need to correct you in that it is East Africans that are the dank marathoners (specifically a certain Ethiopian tribe) and the west Africans are the dank sprinters (Usain Bolt and other Jamaican/ Caribbean rowdies are west African descendants brought over to pick sugar cane). Aboβs supposedly have extremely high visuospatial ability so I guess thatβs their 25,000 ft breathing superpower. Other than that, abos are so obviously some sort of pre humanoid species that I find no pleasure in being racist against them.
