Hey so I liked reading about stuff around the world and then getting rdrama's opinion about the stuff.
I will drop the question first and you may choose to read the rest if you want to know my reasoning.
Q) who do you think among Israel, Turkey, and Iran is going to rule the middle east in the coming decades? Who is going to be top dog?
So looking at the middle east it seems like there are only two actually viable powers there and a third with the power to exert influence at the borders.
These are Iran, Israel, and Turkey.
Israel has been one of the most stable countries in the region with constant growth both in economy and population. Fun fact: it's one of the only 1st world income countries to always stay well above the replacement fertility rates. Due to these two factors and continuing support from the US I expect them to remain a stable power in the middle east along with the fact that ties between Israel and the Islamic nations are beginning to stabilize as they realize they cannot cuck this buck.
In the case of Iran again its been a very stable power with continued growth in spite of American sanctions along with a well educated population capable of long term stability. They are also one of the only shia majority countries in the middle east and well positioned to invade other regions with the justification of protecting the shia minorities in neighbouring countries.
Turkey because they are very nationalistic today, the PM seems to be constantly trying to revive the dream of the Ottomon empire, they already participate in multiple conflicts around the globe, and have a military string enough to be able to fight the militaries of the middle east.
I did not include Saudi Arabia as although it's one of the most famous rich states in the world, it no longer has American support of the previous decades because they no longer rely on its oil production, Saydi Arabias native population doesnt really know what a days work actually is, and Saudi Arabias giant wealthy projects to transform the region have for the most parts been dead on arrival, from Masdar city, to that other city they are trying to build off the coast or in a river or something, to diversifying their economy which again has been an overall failure
So what do you think? Who is the power that's going to control and influence the middle east? Who's gonna be top dog?

Okay so I know a little bit about Iran. Iran is NOT as stable as you think. The rulers almost lost control of the country during the Green Revolution which wasnβt too long ago. Most everyday people are not super thrilled with the hardliners.

Yeah but the only thing that would change is that they would overthrow the mullahs if there is a revolution, the productivity and knowledge base would remain.

As long as there's competing world superpowers that are willing to fund different sides I don't think any of them will actually allow a Middle Eastern power to have hegemony over the region. I don't actually know anything about this shit, though.

Complete over the entire middle east? Unlikely. But the middle east getting split into two to three main segments? Entirely possible. Reason being the US is focused on the indo Pacific now, Europes only priority is to minimize poor or low value immigrant flow. That leaves China which is generally neutral, it doesnt care what you do as long as you say nothing mean about China and keep business running. So there are no longer any big powers focused on the middle east with the power to keep groups in place. I fully expect US support from Israel to die out over time followed by Israel's own Xinjiang in Palestine.
