Have you ever used i2p r-slur? not only is it less functional and mainstream than tor it doesn't solve any clearnet ddos issues. I'm also unconvinced that it has mitigated intranet ddosing any better than tor has

>less mainstream

good

>less functional

t. filtered by opening up your browser settings

>unconvinced that it has mitigated intranet ddosing

the only time sites can ever be taken down is if the entire network is taken down (the 1 time this happened the devs just blocked the ddos lol)

the software is fine, the real reason to dislike i2p imo is the badly managed developer effort which gets into r-slurred drama, this is the primary reason why it hasn't caught on

Not if you're anybody but a hipster cute twink. If you want normal people to use your site this is r-slurred

less functional

>t. filtered by opening up your browser settings

Its slower than tor when established, and it takes longer to connect to the network and make tunnels. It also dosent have native outproxies to get links from anywhere else.

Contrarian tech hipsters are more gay than poltards because they can be objectively wrong

>you're a hipster because you're not putting all your eggs in one basket

neighbor you're trying to anonymize yourself

>but but but it's slower doe and outproxies need to be centrally controlled so feds can target them

it's just slightly slower because every user is a node (unlike tor where millions of connections are all routed through the same 2000 computers)

it's not being a le contrarian hipster, it's having more options and believing that more centralization = bad when you're trying to hide yourself from the fricking government r-slur

You're not hiding from the government you're hosting a gossip forum, define your usecase. KF has has like 75% drop in active posters just over tor with support for normie friendly browsers like brave, opera, and tbb. Imagine if they went to i2p instead.

that's my usecase neighbor, null's usecase is having 2 points of access when his tor instance inevitably gets ddosed since tor is so centralized compared to i2p
