MDE had an anti-consumerist attitude to it that made it seem bizarrely (and interestingly) left-aligned, but then the rightoiditis became terminal. Actually that's probably a more defensible starting point for tracing 'dissident right' type online percolation.
One of the things I liked about rdrama in its subreddit days (I think I skimmed it once) was its commitment to jeering at any and everyone, which was meaningfully neutral. There was a lot of inhumanity in that jeering, though.
Now we're all just castaways...
