Someone should create a checkbox on EHRs “By checking this box you attest that you are acting in the patients best interests.” That would help with lawsuits since occasionally our patients do not cooperate with treatment. Otherwise feedback like yours makes me think saying less is always more.

Actual oversocialisation. "What, I checked that box, what do you mean I still can't inject him with arsenic?! I said I acted in the pt's best interests!!!"
