In this scene Blake whose haven’t been sleeping properly for some time now and is distracted by a laser pointer held by Yang to get her attention. I’m wondering that in-unversed wouldn’t that be kind of racist thing to do? Like if you’re trying to get the attention of an African-American by offering soda grape and fried chicken to them? Yang IS using a stereotype to get Blake’s attention by using a Laser Pointer like how you use a Laser Pointer to play with a Cat, like how Blake is a Cat Faunus. Wished Blake said something about that behavior that Yang did was really racist to her but she didn’t acknowledge it at all.
The thing that gets me is it worked. Blake wasn’t even playing into a gag she just reverted to cat for some reason. (sleep deprivation? Humans don’t normally do that though so…) It’s like if you left out fried chicken as bait to catch a black guy in a noose trap. The moment it actually works whomever came up with that plan stops being a racist (well, for this specific plan at least, they might still be racist) and starts being a genius.

I'll be honest, I would have ignored the racial connotations if CRWBY and Roosterteeth weren't always preaching pro LGBTQ messages yet be hypocritcal by treating their own LGBTQ staff in a insensitive way.
