For those of you that don't know, riteaid is in serious trouble. It's also a memestock with a cult around it similar to gamestop.
The riteaid sub, mainly populated by disgruntled wagies complaining about minor problems such as "the AC has been broken for 2 months and the district doesn't have the money to fix it" or "they've cut hours down to nothing and are expecting 1 person to do everything" or "we're not being paid" are seemingly under assault by "radicels" that are accusing them of being bots and "spreading fud."
They've seemingly moved to a new sub called "riteaidinvestors" or something and are banning riteaid wagies from posting there.
Will riteaid go bankrupt? Will the stock moon, will the hedgies and their short be defeated? Time will tell. All I know is I sold all I had after reading the AC story.

Why do they always choose failing businesses? The apes have propped up GME to well over double its fair market value for almost three years now, imagine what they could do if they just picked a not dogshit company to pump.

Have these people ever visited one of these stores they simp for?
My local gamestop has more funco pops than games, charges $60 for used PS4 games, has promotionals for Halo4/ AC black flag/splatoon 1/gears of war 4/cod ghosts on the window. It's literally a time capsule to around 2015 probably because game companys just don't bother sending stuff to Gamestop anymore and of all the memestock stores they're doing the best there's a riteaid in my town and most the shelves are empty and there lining up garbage to take more shelf spaces.
I could probably take pictures and convince people online that it's a grocery store in Cuba.
Oh and bed bath and beyond is literally just a holding company now they even sold the name.

They visit and post pictures of stores quite frequently. The GME believers had a trend to buy batteries at gamestop.

The dust covered promotional cardboard cutout for cod ghosts in 2022 really made me think "wow Amazon and Valve are finished"

GME believers are so far gone that they think the purpose of video game stores is to sell batteries and socks

I think right now it's just easier to take a low value stock from a failing chain of shitty stores and invent some underdog narrative about stopping (((wall street))) from destroying American businesses than to convince redditors a company that's already doing good is going to do better.

It's probably just a benefit to whoever can start the narrative. They only need to pump the stock up a bit and then they can cash out, while everyone spends the next year coping about it.
