Friday night drunk thread

I’m not even drunk yet and managed to break my PlayStation and Xbox controllers by having vibration drop them off the ledge. I’m meeting my SILs parents which I’m not looking forward to because I’ll effectively have to drink until one of us is in the bathroom vomiting :marseybeansick:

Fajitas for dinner so it's a sangria night. Think I'm gonna start off with a martini though. Especially since I'm out of rye and can't make a Manhattan. :marseysob:

Rittenhouse! Tastes great in a Manhattan, overproofed, and nicely priced at about $28 compared to all the $50+ stuff made for sipping straight. Bulleit or Old Overholt if there's no Rittenhouse. You?

Keyed. Didn't think anyone else actually appreciated the old overholt.

Sorry for the late reply. If I'm drinking rye I've really liked whistlepig. I have a bottle of Sagamore because one of the head brewers at where I used to work managed to pick up a good job there. I honestly can't say if it's good but I'm happy for him.

Thanks for the reply I'll be sure to pick up a Rittenhouse next time out.

I've had Whistlepig a few times, definitely great. Keep in mind the three I listed above are more cocktail whiskeys -- a nice balance of taste vs. price for mixing. If you're sipping it neat or on the rocks, none of these are gonna stand up to Whistlepig or similar.
