Drank way too much last night that I'm still actively buzzed. Got moved to a shitty motel that is somehow worse than the crap bunk bed I slept on last night. It's particularly annoying because I'm still reviewing all the patients EMR and the laptop I was given is shit and super laggy. I can't use my phone to access them because it's a temporary access that only lets me access EMRs and my schedule on the laptop. I had to access the hospitals main site on my phone to figure out who the paths and IR were.

No, there are people that develop cirrhosis with 10 years. I'll probably get in within 15 so I still have quite a few years

Both sides of my family have a bunch of turbodrunkards, and nobody ever had a serious liver disease. The unlucky ones died in their early eighties.
I'm just hoping I have the same liver strength, and that you're jelly.

Most expire from kidney function before liver function. Cirrhosis generally starts around the 10-15 year mark if it isn't kidney failure you get an extra couple of years

Informative. It'll probably be heart stuff that gets me, but I've probably got a few decades on that. Basically no man in my family escapes it

You generally don't need to worry about heart stuff until 50-60 unless you're a smoker and sit on your butt all day which might lower it a few years. I'm not a cardio so you should see one for any concern

My heart is fantastic as of 5 months ago, so I'll worry about it anyway.
