China will invade Alaska, America will annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth.

Yeah but this particular edict is stupid because people who want to express that concept will still do it, only the language that they use will change. Instead of "Let's Go Brandon" it'll morph to "Fine Bro Mining" - which of course will be the new slang description of a s*x act in the gay community, so when Trudeau tries to ban that as well he'll be accused of homophobia. Trying to stop people from expressing an idea by criminalizing the language never works because language shifts constantly. I mean, just look at how effectively rdrama communicates using emojis. What are they going to do when instead of saying "Let's Go Brandon," somebody comes up with a cheering Marsey wearing a Brandon T-shirt? Criminalize any emoji of a cartoon cat and say that Marsey is a "hate symbol"? I mean, sure, they could try, but that approach really didn't work out so hot for Hillary. Persecuting a cartoon frog made her look ridiculous and insanely out of touch.

I think the reason the left is so stupid about language is because they're still fighting using tactics that worked 10 years ago but are now outdated. They are well aware that you can cloak intent behind language - that's why the people who are pushing CRT keep trying to rename it to something else now like "Diversity Equity Inclusion" or "Teaching Real History" now that there's such a colossal backlash against it. These sort of semantic bait-and-switch games used to work when the right was stupid, but now conservatives are fully aware of language manipulation and are using it themselves to beat the shit out of progressives. At the end of the day, censorship doesn't work and only creates backlash against the people doing the censorship. That's something important I learned from my time in Anonymous, and I eventually went on to weaponize that concept very effectively, so I'm not just making shit up here - I've done large scale social experiments and tested this theory robustly.
