I say to my HS kids, "How would you feel if a 3rd grader insulted you? Okay, so you get the idea how I'm feeling right now."

This only works if you're not actually seething.

I've been called worse by better. The beauty of this line is the ones it's directed at are usually to dense to get it. They only realize when everyone is laughing at them.

If I, uh, w-wanted to kill myself, I'd, uh, I'd get up on your IQ level and jump to, um, I mean, if I wanted to kill myself I'd jump off your ego level, and then uh, I'd land on your IQ level.
