The introduction will be brief. As we all know, Israel and Palestine are currently at war. This will have devastating effects on the world, especially the Middle East and Europe. I will begin by giving a brief outline of the conditions leading to conflict between the two states. I will then take a look back at the refugee crisis of the 00s, and predict how things may be worsened by current conditions.
At the end, I will pose two possible outcomes
a) horror
b) harmony
It is up to you to decide which route is most likely for Europe and women.
Why Conflict? Israel and Palestine
Jews do not want to die. Muslims do not want to suffer. So why is there war? Put simply, what we are witnessing is a cycle of violence. As Sarah Schulman points out:
Cycles of violence do not stop on their own. Instead, they expand, encompassing more as they grow. The key to breaking the cycle is to recognize that revenge is not justice. Unfortunately, it is already evident that Israel is adamant that harsh retribution is the key to ending violence. All they are doing is creating another generation of fighters who will once again strive for their freedom and their own sense of justice.
justice to me = attack to you
Mass immigration - Ayaan Hirsi Ali
In a book I highly recommend titled Prey by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the effects of mass immigration are discussed. For those who need an introduction, Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia where she was subjected to female circumcision. She was meant to marry her cousin but she fled. Following 9/11, she began to rethink the Quran and Islam, and came to the conclusion that Islam is not a religion of peace. This made her very popular in the 00s when it was quite intellectually fashionable to say such things. However, nowadays, she is branded a right winger and a Islamaphobe.
She has strongly stood against mass immigration into Europe, because she believes it will destroy the continent. Specifically, she is worried that Islam is a poison. Furthermore, Europe is unequipped to deal with this poison, and so it shows a soft hand.
The consequences?
There's countless cases like this Hirsi Ali brings up.
Horror
I believe we will head this route. The road of horror predicts that mass immigration following the millions of refugees that will be created by the Israel/Palestine war will destroy European society. Author Francesco M. Bongiovanni gives us an idea of what to expect in his text titled The Decline and Fall of Europe.
What you can expect is not Islamification. No, you can anarchy as society loses its cohesiveness.
Harmony
There is a second option - the deepest values of liberalism prevail.
The USA is the most powerful country in the world, and it is shockingly multicultural. In its current form it attempts to embody the central liberal themes of strength through diversity and the possibility of a harmonious society composed of many cultures. The USa has thrived by drawing talent from around the world, and using the unique special traits of all different people to ensure constant progress. Some of the richest people in the world live in America yet were not born there. Some of the greatest scientists and tech geniuses live in the USA but were not born there. Actors, artists and successful people from all walks of life have traveled to that multicultural mecca, the USA, and have achieved the fabled American dream.
Not being funny, I'll let Ariel tell it. Our differences are our strengths.
What makes some one special?
I suppose it all depends,
it's what's unique in each of us
that we all share as friends.
The difference is our differences,
maybe small or great,
variety adds spice to life,
so we should celebrate!
In Harmony, harmony!
You're you I'm me,
together we should sing in Harmony!
If there was only one note,
How boring life would be.
I'm glad there are so many notes,
In many different keys.
I hear each voice singing,
with a special quality,
and when we sing together,
we bring music to the sea!
In Harmony, harmony!
You're you I'm me,
together we can live in Harmony!
In Harmony, harmony!
You're you I'm me,
together we can live in Harmony!
Oooooo, in harmony! Harmony!
You're you! Im me!
Together we can live in harmony
You're you. I'm me.
Together we can live in harmony!
This is what I desperately want to believe in. That when people from around the world come together, good things happen. That we can find harmony by celebrating our differences. It mean so much to me, and this is the essence of my personal ideologies. However, I'd be foolish to pretend that world works this way. Differences cause conflict.
Conclusion
The mass immigration into Europe will happen. It's not a matter of if but when. Please tell me, will we see:
a) harmony - liberal values prevail and a diverse Europe thrives like never before
b) horror - social cohesion is lost and we witness the decline of a great civilization.

Our civilisations are bound to clash. The more they come the more grounds they have for their rules and values to be established, the more they will take from us and give to their own. We find ourselves in a situation where we both want the same thing at the same time and like any other time in history we will have to figure out who deserves it. It might not be violent immediately and hopefully the most intense battles will be fought verbally, arguing about philosophy, but seeing how little our cultures actually connect, that possibility almost seems like an idealistic fever dream.
We need to have conversations about our differences and both groups need to be willing to actually listen to the other side for it to remain civilised and respectful, but we are living in an age of polarisation and conflict. There aren't many figure heads that could lead such an intellectual charge, nor do we have the good will left to be open for talks. I fear we have developed a problem that at one point might have been solvable through diplomacy and regulations, that now will require a violent sacrifice.
I'd like to be wrong.

The only thing these animals fear is violence, good luck persuading them by being respectful and civilized, they will just keep taking advantage of you, until they are a majority and use the very force that you refused to to replace you. Either I'll get to participate in the great european civil war, or my great grandchildren will have to learn arabic and adhere to Islam or thrown off the roof.
It's up to us to decide if our future will be Lebanon or not.

I don't think it is likely, I hope we can make it. Look at the Middle East, how devastated their cities are, how bitter those warring groups. I don't want that for my homeland

Nobody does, but that's what we will all get by remaining respectful and tryig to connect with people who are only here because they know they can take advantage of you.

Yes. Those people need to leave, I'm with you there. Given the size of the Muslim population in Europe, though, it's not easily done and we should not antagonise those who don't have a reason yet. The ideal should be for anyone who is interested in a living here, in building a community together, to stay and stay in good terms with. I think what we need is a German, French, Dutch, well European brand of Islam that rivals its siblings in values the rest of Europe can get behind. While we are at that, I think there are also some Muslim values that might be beneficial to our societies, like their take on usury, which promotes equal growth between creditor and debtor. There are some quirks in Islam actually, that are meant to strengthen community that I would not be opposed of implementing.
The key is, the conversation should remain respectful. That means both parties

No, they're in my home, they follow my rules. If they don't like it they can leave, by choice or force.
Yes I am part of the problem, no I don't want to find a solution.

There are a lot of Muslims who feels similar as they see this land as theirs. Many have been born here, have established a life in our European countries. They might not always share allegiance with their hosts and continue to prefer their group of origin, but that does not change that they are here, they are many and they have ties to what we call home, too.
I don't want to have to shoot another person if what we are fighting over could still be solved by words. There is grounds, we share a country after all, we just have to find more than that that unites us and try to build a stronger European or national identity on top of that. Values, morals and ideals that make us what we are and are worth defending, like I think the equal status of both sexes before the law is or the anti-usury attitude the Muslims have, or giving part of your income back to the community. I'd rather see us put together everything that makes both groups good rather than see my homeland turn into a wasteland of rubbles at some point.
If you are not interested in finding a peaceful solution, yes, you should leave. But we can't refuse the rest of them a home, either, and for things to remain peaceful we need to build community with them, not alongside.

You can call it cuckoldry, I see it as diplomacy. It's one of those values I'd like to preserve for our future.
