I have always had issues with false awakening. For those who dont know it's when you try to wake up in a dream succeed and find yourself still stuck in a dream. For me it's been getting worse. Today I must have gone through around 12 layers of false awakening/possible sleep paralysis before actually waking up.
Should I be concerned? Is this another sign of mental illness. Discuss.

Yes you're right it is an abbreviation, which if it isn't immediately obvious discounts it as being somehow high school algebra. % PPM is "percent of parts per million" you don't start adding in a value to the abbreviation for some reason like it is a value of x.

ppm is parts per million. % is out if total. % ppm is out of total ppm. ppm isn’t like pressure, it just means /10000000(total). Just like %! So combining the two is weird, and would mean both times. A percent of a centimeter is 1% of 1cm which is 10mm, or .01cm. And 1% ppm is 1% of 1ppm which is .01ppm. But nobody uses % ppm because they just use ppm or %. 1% =10000 ppm.

% PPM is just a conversion of percent volume to PPM. Regardless you don't multiply things by a unit of measurement, that's just r-slurred.

putting two units of measurement next to each other is multiplying. one kilowatt hour is a kilowatt times an hour. a foot pound is a foot times a pound. a man hour is a man times an hour. One channel-hour is a channel times an hour, etc. and a percent of a kilogram is literally a percent times a kilogram, 1/100 times 1kg. “Percent ppm” is meaningless in your sense of “percent in ppm”, it’s just a percent. 4% by volume. And you can’t easily reach 4% by volume unless you’ve locked yourself in a sealed car or something
